History
During a snooker match late one summer night in June/July 1991, Ali Hunt, Ian Collins, & Martyn Reid discussed the possibility of forming a skittle team.
Confident that they could persuade enough of their friends to play, they each proposed numerous names for the new teams identity, but struggled to find one that they could agree on. Their discussion was overheard by the captain of the snooker team, Bob McCann, who strolled over and proposed in his strong Scottish accent....
"The Tattibogoes”
Liking what they heard, they registered the name for the 1991/92 season, and soon started competing in the Hereford & District Skittle League Division Six. Holding their own, they found themselves in 4th position by the end of January 1992, and with thirteen straight victories to finish, they celebrated winning their first league title.
This success has continued with The Tatti’s winning each league at their first attempt, including Division One at the end of season 1996/97.
To date they have won Hereford's top division twelve times, in 1996/97, 1999/2000, 2000/01, 2002/03, 2003/04, 2005/06, 2006/07, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13 and 2016/17.
